Parlez-vous francais? Non? No problem! You can enjoy traditional French dishes on Christmas Eve without speaking French! The land of gourmet meals offer us many possibilities for the Christmas table.

If you are a fan of delicacies, we’ve made the perfect Christmas menu for you.

In France, oysters are a Christmas tradition. Talking about delicacies and gourmet meals, right? Foie gras and smoked salmon are also present. Chicken, roasted capon to be precise, is another Christmas tradition in France.

When it comes to desserts, things are getting more than interesting! In the French region of Provence, the Christmas meal ends with 13 desserts representing Jesus and the 12 apostles. For those with a sweet tooth, this must be the most amazing tradition ever. Even though the 13 desserts are not present everywhere in France, the taste of the served ones compensate the loss.

Join us in this journey and let us know if you love the French version of Christmas menu as much as we do!

If you have a recipe that you would like to publish on Eat the Globe, join us today!

You can also bring your passion for food to the forefront of social cause, as for EVERY post you add to the site, Eat the Globe will donate $1 to Oxfam.
