Sometimes when you look hard for something, you can't seem to find it...

We were wanting to try some Sukiyaki (ie. a soya based soup, where raw meat is cooked and then dipped in a raw egg dip), and we were wandering around the back streets of Shibuya to find our sukiyaki feast.

We even asked some locals, but they didn't seem to know of any Sukiyaki place close by. Then, we thought, perhaps we should try something else....we all suddenly noticed a live TV show recording in front of us and we stood by the glass windows to have a peek. After watching it for a moment, we glanced over and noticed a sukiyaki poster advertising a sukiyaki buffet restaurant...awesome...it's funny in life that when you are about to give up, suddenly what you are looking for appears before your eyes....such is the fun and adventure of being a foodie...

We took the lift up to the restaurant. There was quite a queue once we got to the restaurant, always a good indication that it is a place worth trying. Once we were seated, we found the service to be prompt and friendly, the quality of the beef and pork was great. The pork was nice and lean, and the beef was soft and delicious (the waiter said the beef was imported from Australia). There was also a wide buffet selection of fresh vegetables to choose from, including a nice range of Japanese mushrooms.

The thing I also loved, was that the price was very reasonable for the buffet , just $1980 yen. Definitely a winner if you are a sukiyaki fan...you get the quality of ingredients and you also get plenty of quantity since it is a buffet!
