ETG - Food For Thought

We decided to have a special Family Recipes article that focuses on dessert recipes and not any kind of dessert recipes, but recipes that were passed on by grandmothers to their grandchildren or that are still baked by grandmas on special occasions. Nothing beats the baking treats that come out of a grandmother’s recipe so, while celebrating our Family Recipes journey, we had to stop and try some sweet treats along the way.

Grandma’s Famous 6-Layer Cake from Something Swanky

Nothing compares to a chocolate cake made by a grandma who knows all the secrets of baking!

Rocky Road Cookies from This Grandma is Fun

When family recipes remind people of their childhood, you know the dessert is an amazing sweet treat that should be tried!

Millionaire Fudge from Cooking with K

Millionaire Fudge is a recipe that will make you go down the memory lane and remember all your sweet childhood memories that involved your grandmother’s treats.

Grandma’s Brownies from Alida’s Kitchen

Alida shared her grandmother’s rich, chocolaty brownie topped with fudgy frosting recipe and we cannot begin to tell you how much we loved it!

Grandma's Gooey Cinnamon Rolls from Lady Behind the Curtain

We shared this recipe on social media after we tried it, but we had to include it here as well since we really, really loved it!

Grandma Mae's Norwegian almond bars from keyingredient

We never tried a Norwegian dessert before these almond bars, but we promise we will test some more Norwegian family recipes because we really loved this one!

Grandma's Cranberry Cookies from Good in the Simple

Grandmothers usually know how to bake the best cookies in the world and these Cranberry Cookies are no exception!

Eat the Globe is on the mission to preserve Family Recipes so if you want to help us,  join our #FamilyRecipes Movement and share your best family recipes that were handed to you by your parents and/or grandparents. We cannot wait to read them and try them!
